Music from the past is one of the main reasons why people become passioned about a Retro lifestyle.
If you love 1950's Rock & Roll, 1940's Swing or the 1930's Jazz you almost automatically become interested in the period when this music was at its most popular.

Listening to old music is like stepping into a timemachine. During the 20th century music changed a lot and often, almost every year a new dance, music style or a band became the latest craze.
I have always had a passion for old music and a distaste for most modern music.
The best way of listening to 1930's or 1940's music is by collecting those old 78's and playing them on a antique gramophone or by altering one of those old radios and conecting them to your cd-player! I did both...so there I was in my modern room with a huge 1930's radio and my old gramophone...
